REVISED FILING DEADLINES for CANDIDATES and QUESTIONS & ISSUES FOR NOVEMBER 2, 2010 GENERAL ELECTION: AUGUST 4, 2010 (90 DAYS BEFORE THE ELECTION) The Federal Military and Overseas Empowerment (MOVE) Act and Am. Sub. H.B. 48 provides for new petition filing deadlines for candidates for state board of education members, county court judges, write-in candidates as well as revised deadlines for filing protests. This deadline also applies to Taxing Authorities who wish to file Questions & Issues. It does NOT impact constitutional deadlines and chartered municipalities.
